One of the distinctive features of the DLC, as its name suggests (literally Lonely Road), is that you will be called to face this last stage without the help of any companion, and this means that you will have to send home anyone who is following you. It all begins with the receipt, on your Pip-Boy, of a new “mysterious signal” sent by what appears to be your predecessor, Corriere Sei, who will ask you to go to the wreckage of the canyon west of Primm. In fact, Lonesome Road is the last of the DLCs planned for New Vegas, and precisely in light of this, the hope of many was that this additional content could represent the proverbial swan song for the Obsidian title … but did it really go like this? Thanks to its great depth and the always pleasant sense of freedom that it offered from the very first minutes of the adventure, the title in question has in fact carved out a place of absolute importance in my heart as an old RPG enthusiast, pushing me, DLC after DLC, to return to take on the role of the “Courier” to face some new enemy and complete some new mission.Īs we have seen in recent months, not all DLCs have shone for their qualities, one above all the mediocre Honest Hearts, but on the whole it certainly cannot be said that Obsidian has disappointed the ranks of fans who, for years now, they venerate this franchise as if it were the one and only in existence.īut now, after months of wandering around the Mojave, it’s time for the final act.
